Last week I toured the Tulsa Designer Showcase 2011, and it is definitely worth checking out if you live in the Tulsa area or will be visiting soon! This is a yearly event where a different designer is assigned to each room of a house… or in this year’s case, a hotel. A historic hotel on Route 66, to be exact. The previously vacant building is now freshly renovated and renamed Campbell Hotel. It is situated in an ideal location – a block away from the gorgeous campus of the University of Tulsa, right up the street from happenin’ Downtown Tulsa, close to the hip Cherry Street District and some upscale shopping at Utica Square. This boutique hotel is sure to be a Tulsa destination, where you can specify in which room you would like to stay. May I suggest the TU-inspired Room #222 Golden Huricane Getaway by Nvogue Design? I admit that I may be biased as 4 of my photographs are framed and installed in that room! I’m thrilled that those images will be a permanent feature in the hotel for years to come. But it’s hard to pick a favorite among the many awe-inspiring room. I also loved The Rose Bowl room, Stardust Room, and the Sky Suite (to name only a few!).
