When I craft or work on an art piece it is often time spent reflecting. I let go of the world around and focus on the motion, decisions and get lost in the process. I believe that those who have trouble focusing or meditating should create and through creation will find a release that perhaps they’ve been unable to reach.
Please join us tomorrow at the Indie Emporium and have a small quick introductory craft to Saori style weaving. First inspired by the portable version, I quickly became curious and found so many more inspiring woven pieces; I know what I’ll be picking up this winter!
This was the original inspiration and the following images are some that I could not resist. Come visit Saturday from 12 – 5 pm at the Indie Emporium Craft Show held at Living Arts studio in downtown and we’ll compare notes.

We’re excited to see all the different styles that are sure to emerge at the show and equally excited to peruse the vendors and possibly get a jump start on our holiday shopping! Enjoy your weekend and don’t forget to come back Monday for Issue 3!
