Glitter? Odd photo choice, yes – but seeing as it has encompassed much of my free time this week, I thought it was fitting. We are prepping for our “Celebrate the Style” photo shoot this weekend and glitter is a key factor. Fun, pretty, sparkly? Yes. Messy? Also a yes. I may have gotten in a little over my head with the crafting on this one. Our party and DIY ladies came up with tons of great ideas for this one – and naturally, nothing came pre-made in the colors we wanted so hey, why not make it ourselves? If you’re a regular reader, you know that I am not typically one of the crafty DIY types in this group…but I decided I wanted to help with this one. I must admit, after a couple of experimental items, many hours on the floor of the garage, and my husband’s ban on any of the materials entering our home ever again (I think it was finding glitter on the dog that did him in) – it got kind of fun. I got a technique down, started seeing nice results, and finally finished the project up. This may have inspired me for a whole new round of holiday crafting! My confidence is up. What else can I make? Let’s just say it definitely WON’T involve glitter.
In between glittering, I did have a little time for web browsing this week. Here’s what I found:
Plastic Animals are the new Birds. They beat me to it on this one, I’ve been working on a new “This is the new That” post and hadn’t come up with this yet.
I am DYING over this floor. I saw it originally on Pinterest and thought it was stone, then tracked it back and found that it’s actually wood. I want it.
What do you guys think of this intentionally crooked tile? I can’t decide it I like it, or if it would stress me out every time I went in to wash my hands.
I have promised not to turn every post into baby central, but I can’t help myself for a minute….HOW CUTE ARE THESE hats and booties?
I kind of think this has been my motto for a while…and love seeing it in this cute print. It’s part of the I Am project, a series of typography prints designed to affirm and inspire young women. Love the project, love the print. Check it out and find your motto!
Have a great weekend everyone, come back Monday for our first every MANDAY post, then come out that evening to the Great Big Cookbook Swap Event we are co-hosting with Booksmart Tulsa! See you then!

Thanks for the link to my blog! (the floors) Great link roundup, have a good one!
