I held my breath while I attempted Martha Stewart’s tissue paper pom-poms for my daughter’s bday party. I am NOT crafty but these were simple to make and fun to look at in lime green and punch pink hanging from our living room ceiling.

  2. I love that you guys went there! I’m DYING to get out there myself! Oh goodness, what project do I have going on? What projects do I NOT have going on would be the better question! Ha! We are completely revamping two rooms in our house which is requiring loads and loads of DIY and creativity right now! I guess that would be the big one :)

  8. Oh my goodness, please pick me!!! I’m a quilter, and I am SOOOOO behind on quilts, especially baby quilts that I give out as gifts. We are adoptive parents of three boys that just became foster parents as well, so time is a precious commodity as far as crafting is concerned. Our Tulsa Modern Quilt Guild has been toying around with the idea of coming out for a retreat sometime because we’ve heard about your awesome place! Thanks for the giveaway. :)

My current project is a wedding gift for my son’s teacher. It calls for printing on burlap fabric…never done it before but can’t wait to see how it comes together!

  13. Lots of DIY projects going on here, as usual! In the middle of a bathroom remodel, and currently making some new summer window displays for the Indie Emporium shop.

I’ve been wanting to check out Bluebird Lane and would love love love to plan a little crafty lady weekend there.

  14. My most recent project was completed last week. I compiled/designed a 46 page memory book that was presented as a gift to a faith-community nurse who was retiring. I included photos, newspaper articles, message cards from friends, and children at the school. Now others are asking if I am willing to put together “special event” book for them. How I wish I had the room to spread out on one of your tables rather than my dining room table! I look forward to visiting BLRetreat…sue

As a long time scrapbooker, I have enjoyed crafting as a way to artfully preserver memories. However, I thought card-making for friends and family was out of my league. After an card-making adoption fundraiser, I realized how fun it was to make cards and how I could unleash my creativity without worrying about photos getting in the way! I bought an unholy amount of Stampin’ up product and my next project is to make a years worth of birthday cards, mother’s day, father’s day, etc.

I am also an avid scrapbooker. I love the fact that it’s a stress reliever and a way to preserve memories and moments of my life that I don’t want to forget. I am constantly trying to catch up on my kids and family book, but my next big project is to capture our recent trip to Disney World while it’s still fresh on my mind. Bluebird Lane looks like the perfect place to do that! I can’t wait to come visit in a few weeks!
