Ah, St. Patrick’s Day is upon us (and a happy birthday to Prairie Hive writer Kim Averill!)! What are you doing to celebrate? Since the holiday is on Saturday this year, I can only imagine that many will start the day with a Guinness…Most of Tulsa spends the day downtown at our Manday contributor Elliot Nelson’s place, McNellie’s – complete with the Guinness big rig, street party and all-day festivities (did you catch Elliot’s post this week on investing in your St. Pat’s Day wardrobe?). Since I’ll have a baby in tow, I’ll pass…but will be wearing my green and checking out the Antoinette Tulsa Pop Up Shop for some sweet treats!
A few pots of gold from my week:
If you don’t have a delicious pop up shop of treats in your town, this Leprechaun Trap Cake and Black and Tan Cakes look pretty yummy!
We are kind of freaking out over here about the new IKEA PS Collection, due to hit stores in August. Looks like a Dallas trip might be on the horizon for fall…
DIY of the week: We are in love with Doug Johnston’s rope baskets, featured here last fall…but if you’re the DIY type, here’s a tutorial for a colorblocked version…
I’m a huge fan of Red Clay Home’s products, and am really excited about the newest Design Challenge – Illumination! It’s still open so check here for info on submitting your design or voting on your favorite!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
