Glitzy Easter Eggs

This year I decided to get creative with the Easter eggs.  While dying eggs each year is a great tradition, it’s also nice to have some already done that you can pull out and display quickly.

While I was shopping at Michael’s I stumbled upon some paper mache eggs and thought they would be perfect to experiment with.  I also found some pretty fabulous neon glitter by Martha Stewart.  If you have been reading Prairie Hive lately, then you know how much we are loving the neon accents!

In addition to the eggs you will also need painters tape, spray adhesive, and glitter.

Let’s get started…..use the painters tape to make a design on the egg.  Just make sure that one side of the tape is pressed down hard so that the spray adhesive doesn’t go under it (this is what creates your crisp line).

Spray the adhesive on the part of the egg that you want the glitter to stick to.  I would suggest wearing a glove on the hand that you hold the egg with, otherwise you will end up with super sticky fingers!  Then shake the glitter onto the egg (sorry no pic…..if only I had 3 hands).
