Father’s Day is just around the corner, Sunday June 17th, which means it is time to start deciding on the perfect gift.
For this blog I decided to ask my dad what his favorite Father’s Day gift would be. Before I knew it my email was flooded with all kinds of items. I quickly informed him that he was having way to much fun! But, my favorite was this piece of advice…
“A little leather something, a nice strong drink, and throw a tool in just for works sake.”
So, with a little help from my dad, here are some fun gifts for all different types of dads….
1. Star Trek Enterprise Light-Up Feeding System, thinkgeek.com
For the new dad….this might make feeding a little more enjoyable…for both the little one and the big one!
2. Vintage Golf Ball Marker, thevintagepearl.com
3. Fingerprint Cufflinks, janewearjewelry Etsy Shop
Great way to remember your loved ones throughout the work day.
4. Leather Flask, moxieandoliver Etsy Shop
Every dad needs a stylish flask, right?
5. Novelty Tablet Sleeve, fossil.com
6. Airplane Propellers Cufflinks, AnastasiaBijoux Etsy Shop
Loving the cufflinks….the propellers are so cool! Classy way to show off your favorite hobby or love of travel.
7. Vintage Dart Board, fossil.com
One of a kind find, so hurry and pick up.
8. Vintage Darts, fossil.com
Even if you don’t play darts, these would be beautiful framed in a shadow box and hung in the man room/den/man cave
whatever you prefer to call it!
9. Mustache Coffee Mugs, lovegracejoy Etsy Shop
Coffee for dad, chocolate milk for the little ones. Would definitely put a smile on everyone’s face during breakfast!
10. Transit Travel Organizer, fossil.com
For the dad always on the go. Keep him organized in beautiful leather.
11. Craftsman Evolv 101 pc. Mechanics Tool Set, sears.com
If spending family time together is more up your alley, here are some fun ideas…
Bowling – for Tulsans, check out Dust Bowl Lanes & Lounge in downtown for a fun retro afternoon or night. Might take dad back to his younger days. And be sure to have some of their gourmet tater tots!

Concert – check out your local music venues and see if any of dad’s favorite bands will be in town soon.
Movie – how about a fun outdoor movie night right in your backyard? It will definitely be less expensive than the traditional movie theaters! Check out Prairie Hive’s Issue One for our backyard movie night, and our blog post on how to make your own movie screen.
Sporting Event – a fun afternoon or evening at a baseball game. The Tulsa Driller’s have great rates, especially if you want to relax on the grass picnic style. And they have a pretty great fireworks show as well!
