What an incredible, creative group of women I get to work with on this fun adventure we call Prairie Hive! Every time we get together at meetings or photoshoots, I am overcome with thankfulness that I get to be one of them. This past weekend, we got together, along with our featured homeowners, not to plan our next magazine issue but to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary and the release of our 10th Issue of Prairie Hive mag!
There was incredible food to be had, and plenty of beverage options, including Sarah’s famous sangria, to cool off from the rising Oklahoma temperatures. (Keep checking back for recipes coming soon!) We took this opportunity to try a new DIY for drink tags!
They were simple and quick to make, and added a personal touch to our party. The only supplies you need are key tags, stamps, a stamp pad and some decorative string. I had the key tags from previous projects, but I think I got them from Office Depot. The rest came from Michael’s.
First, count out how many tags you will need based on how many people you are expecting at your soiree. Then, simply remove the metal ring from each tag.
Next… stamp away! We chose words that correspond with design, style, the magazine, blog, etc. You could personalize with each guest’s name, or stamp a design on one side and allow guests to write their names on the opposite side.
Finally, cut the decorative cording into lengths that would allow the tag to be tied around the stem of the glass you will be serving drinks in, yet not too long that the tags get in the way. Slip the string through the tag hole, and you are set!
