School is in session, Fall sports have kicked off, and autumn festivals are gearing up. I love Fall for these reasons and more, including the falling temperatures. With the cooler evenings, I have started pulling out my blanket collection, which is quite extensive. I admit it – I have a bit of an obsession when it comes to purchasing pretty blankets. It’s like I need one for every occasion. Whether it’s for a cozy night on the couch for the season premiere of my favorite show, a chilly evening in the stands cheering on the home football team, toasting marshmallows around a camp fire, or a brisk autumn morning on the soccer field sidelines, there is a perfect blanket for each need! They are also a necessity for a picnic – have you checked out our stargazing supper in Issue 7?!
Here are a few beauties I just want to curl up with. Stripes are definitely the standard for this season’s blankets!

2. Stripe Favorite Throw, West Elm
3. Missoni Home Karlos Throw, AllModern
4. Woolrich Allegheny Throw, Cabela’s
5. D-Constructed Throw, CB2
6. Target Home Cotton Blanket, Target

Tomorrow’s the big day- when we will brave the 100+ temperatures to make the most of our mid-week July 4th holiday to glimpse some breathtaking fireworks. Independence Day is possibly my most favorite holiday. To celebrate, my family and I will join thousands of others at Tulsa River Parks, just like when I was a little girl. And as we did way back when, we will be bringing along a picnic dinner to share.
There are so many great picnic baskets and insulated bags these days, that it is hard to choose which to use!

1. Picnic Time Picnic Basket, Yellowstone Moka - Macy’s
2. Pioneer Picnic Basket - Target
3. Malibu Picnic Pack, Moka – Target
4. Milano Insulated Tote – Outdoor Posh
5. Gray Willow Picnic Basket – World Market
Or you can use other baskets as a picnic basket. A wire basket is a charming way to head out for your 4th picnic.

Lisa’s Fall Porch post from yesterday definitely has me in the mood for Fall and excited to spruce up my front porch. But I also can’t stop thinking about how I would love to cozy up my backyard. On crisp Fall evenings, I love to brew up a warm cup of Earl Grey Tea or a Chai Tea Latte, grab a blanket and snuggle up with a book. Imagine how much more wonderful that book and Chai would be if I could relax in my backyard with a few of these lovely items I covet:

1. Plaza Outdoor Furniture, grandinroad; 2. Garden Treasures Black Steel Chiminea, Lowes; 3. Chunky Hand-Knit Throw, Pottery Barn; 4. Hammered Glass Hurricane, Pier 1 Imports; 5. Garden Sun Propane Patio Heater with Table, Target; 6. Rustic Red Metal Lanterns, Pier 1 Imports
